PROJECT 001 · MAC MENU BAR

Juicage 🧃

How much Claude juice have you got left? Juicage puts your live claude.ai usage in the Mac menu bar — two small rings, one glance, no more getting cut off mid-thought.

free · open source · notarized · macOS 13+

What it does

Rings at a glance

Outer ring is your current session, inner ring is the week. Color shifts from calm to orange to red as you burn through it.

Every limit, spelled out

The popover breaks out each limit as its own bar — across all of your workspaces, with reset times attached.

Pace forecasting

Juicage watches your burn rate and warns you when you're on track to hit a limit before it resets — while there's still time to slow down.

Local models too

A green dot appears when Ollama or LM Studio is working: model name, elapsed time, live tokens per second, and a notification when the run finishes.

Extra usage in real dollars

If you've bought extra usage, Juicage shows actual money — used, cap, and what's left — not abstract credits.

Signed & open source

Notarized by Apple, so it opens with a double-click. The full source is on GitHub if you'd rather build it yourself.

Why "Juicage"?

An early tester asked, "how much Claude juice have I got left?" — and that was that. Juice + -age, the suffix that means "a measure of," as in mileage or wattage. Juicage: a measure of juice.

The fine print

Juicage is an unofficial, independent project — not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. It shows the same usage numbers claude.ai shows you, read through your own logged-in session, entirely on your Mac. Your data stays between your Mac and claude.ai.

On Windows? An early cross-platform build exists — email me and I'll send it your way.
